Banana Republic, Editions

Store Window Displays

These front window displays we printed and installed for Banana Republic Editions store shows how Blow Up specializes in pre-production file creation and preparation. For example, in the photo print of the desert road, we used our Photoshop expertise to convert these 2 images from color to black & white, then applied effects to extend the road and/or sidewalk across the floor in the foreground, plus other digital tweaks for specified effects. We printed both the desert landscape and Times Square in the rain murals at 10x20 feet each, on vinyl.

Kryolan Cosmetics

Backlit Film Store Displays

Kryolan is the professional make-up brand loved and used by make-up artists worldwide. Their cosmetics are the leading brand for actors and performers in theatrical productions, films, television, opera and ballet, but their stores around the globe are also open to the public. Blow Up printed and installed all the back-lit film shown here for their San Francisco and Chicago stores. All of these assorted sized images (love the fabulous photo files they send us from their Berlin headquarters!!) were printed on translucent film and directly installed onto their light boxes. We enjoy our on-going relationship with Kryolan since they are also our SOMA neighbors.

Banana Republic

Backlit Film Store Displays

Blow Up experimented with Banana Republic’s Interior Designer, David Fruscione, to create these custom, backlit murals. We scanned a tufted fabric linen panel, file manipulated immensely and printed on translucent film to custom fit existing backlit glass displays. The large paned mural is 12x20 feet and the cash counter is 3x15 feet. This unique, in-store boutique design received exceptional accolades upon completion.
