The
Blow Up Lab is a full-service, digital photo and graphics business
located near downtown San Francisco but virtually available to anyone with
Internet access. Owned and operated by Frank McGrath since 1977, the lab
was the first in the city to convert from traditional, chemical photo processing
to 100% digital in January 2000. News The Blow Up Lab is excited to announce the addition of new large format printers from . These new printers use an innovative 12 color ink system for superior results on your most demanding projects. After printing ink jet for more then 15 years we feel Canon's 12 color ink system gives a wider color gama than most older 8 ink systems commonly in use today. These state of the art printers not only allow us to offer super high quality fine art prints (up to 60 inch wide), but we can output at speeds two to five times faster then our old Epson 9800. These Canon printers are Energy Star certified as well. Call for a VERY competitive quote on your large format printing needs. About Us In the early 1990’s The Blow Up Lab was asked to consult with programmers developing new photo graphics software that became Photoshop 1.0. In the mid 90’s The Blow Up Lab became a developer for Hewlett Packard’s large-format ink-jet printers. Always experimenting and following technological advancements, The Blow Up Lab prides itself on its’ ability to offer clients custom, state-of-the-art digital production.
